Stepping into something weird wg

I would not rank Wild Guitar among my favourite Something Weird viewings but there was some fun to be had and I enjoyed the hell out of the music. Wild Guitar was co-written and produced by Arch Hall Sr whose son Arch Hall Jr stars and performs the music. Wild Guitar was also Ray Dennis Skeckler’s directorial debut!

Stepping into Something Weird TTM

It is finally time to Step into Something Weird! I will have some tremendously fun, sexy and wacky music and radio ads for Something Weird treasures all month long. This is the first of several brought to you by my friend and yours Mr. Herschell Gordon Lewis! The theme from Herschell Gordon Lewis’ 1964 film TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! Awesome fun! From the compilation The Eye Popping Sounds of Herschell Gordon Lewis. No artist is noted on the album but The Pleasant Valley Boys are noted on IMDB. All I know is this theme is awesome….HeeeeeeeeeeHaw! Oh the South’s going to rise again!

“An Entire Town Bathed In Pulsing Human Blood!”

“Brutal… Evil… Ghastly Beyond Belief!”

Check out this great shot of William Kerwin David posted taken from the Herschell Gordon Lewis’ documentary The Godfather of Gore. Kerwin was featured in Gordon’s Two Thousand Maniacs as well as Gordon’s Blood Feast, Living Venus, The Adventures of Lucky Pierre, Boin-n-g, Goldilocks and the Three Bares, Bell, Bare and Beautiful, Scum of the Earth, A Taste of Blood and Suburban Roulette. We are big fans of Mr. Kerwin obviously Mr. Lewis’ was too!
