The Dungeon’s Nasty Scenes That Aren’t From Horror Films Part # 2

Here’s part two of nasty scenes that aren’t from horror films. The below clips aren’t violent, but they are definitely nasty! Beware! SPOILER ALERT!

Pink Flamingos (1972)
Directed By: John Waters
See! Nasty…but no violence!

Kingpin (1996)
Directed By: Bobby & Peter Farrelly
Yike!

Happiness (1998)
Directed By: Todd Solondz
A very distrubing scene from a bleak but brilliant film.

Team America: World Police (2004)
Directed By: Trey Parker
Naughty, nasty and hilarious!

Jesus Camp (2006)
Directed By: Heidi Ewing & Rachel Grady
Fact is often more horrific than fiction. This documentary disturbed the hell out of me. This scene actually makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Creepy.

  1. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep this post going… I love it. Kingpin and Team America crack me up… they are noth so vile and yet so hilarious. Still need to see Happiness but can’t find a copy… and you could probably just post Jesus Camp from start to finish for this list!

Glad you enjoyed these posts! But I’m not sure I’ll be doing exactly this again. I am working on mixing it up in here a bit with stuff other than just reviews though. In the future you’ll see more top 10 lists and commentary…horror related of course.

I’m a big fan of Matt and Trey and have been watching South Park from the beginning. I love the way they serve up their commentary! Happiness is a great film…definitely worth checking out…very bleak though. It’s good to know that Jesus Camp freaked other people out too. I am a documentary junkie actually. Other than horror it’s what I watch most.

  2. Wow, awesome picks! Jesus Camp, what a freakin’ trip that movie was. Same goes for Happiness. God, what a crazy world, glad to have seen all these movies I suppose.

I seen Jesus Camp and a documentary called Hell House back to back! They both traumatized me! Much scarier than most horror films I watch!

It was my husbands idea to include Happiness. That film disturbed the hell out of him! He thought he was getting a much needed break from horror films with some lighter fare. It is called Happiness after all!

  3. The Film Reel Says:

Ah man, I’ve been looking for Hell House but I couldn’t find it yet. And that Jesus Camp clip is probably the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.

Can you imagine the outrage if you drilled anything else other than religion into a child’s head. I have nothing against religion, I don’t practice any but if you do then that’s your thing. Why the intense urge to raise children into it. What’s the problem with letting them grow up and decide for themselves when they’re ready.

I’ll stop now before I have a comment longer than your post Goregirl!

    • goregirl Says:

No religion for goregirl…not even Satan worship!

I find this beyond creepy. Children should be at camp to swim and make crafts out of macaroni not chant, worship Bush cutouts and pray. And by the way, you are welcome to vent on this blog anytime you please!

  4. The Film Reel Says:

This would be a rant that would be unstoppable! I agree, camp is for fun not brainwashing. I seriously don’t think I could sit through that flick. I did find Hell House though and I wanted to watch it last night but I was out schmoozing with the theater owner for my screening! Tonight I’ll be checking it out so you can always expect a giant rant on my blog tomorrow!
